Zachary Graves Miller is documentarian and filmmaker working across video, film, short-form , and installation. After studying Film and Literature abroad at Dublin Business School, Miller began documenting the pop band Funzo during their final tour, developing a practice rooted in observation, collaboration, and visual storytelling.
His first feature documentary, Six Locked Doors: The Legacy of Cocoanut Grove, which he directed, wrote, and produced, received the Audience Award for Best Documentary Film at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival. His experience spans field producing award-winning documentaries and assisting television and Hollywood directors, while his independent practice continues to explore the relationship between people, place, memory, and image.
Miller has collaborated with artists including JR, Kobra, Krzysztof Wodiczko, Laurie Anderson, Lee Jaffe, John Forté, and Lucien Smith. Moving between film, video, and installation, his work brings documentary approaches into contemporary art, creating spaces for personal stories and cultural histories to be experienced through moving image.
